DIY Instructions

1. Lay out the tiles in front of you on the template provided to create your design.
2. Apply glue on your glass shade to start sticking the tiles on to it. Start by sticking your designs on one of the seams as this will help you get symmetrical with your designs. Don’t stick any tiles beyond the curves on both ends. Your tiles need to sit flat.
3. Once you have glued your tiles on the glass shade, you can apply glue on the clear spaces that don’t have tiles. Sprinkle beads over these spaces then pat them down so they are sitting in one flat layer. Don’t have the beads sitting in clumps.
4. Done! You’re ready to grout once 24 hours have passed. You need to allow the glue to dry in this timeframe.

GROUTING

1. Allow your lamp to dry 24 hours before grouting.
2. Mix 100g of grout (entire bag) with approximately 40-45 mls of water. Gradually add the water, stirring well each time. Achieve a thick pancake for better consistency.
3. Spread the grout carefully over your lamp. Ensure you get into all the little holes, including those of the beads.
4. Scrapeoff the excess grout with two fingers and leave the lamp to dry for 30 mins. DO NOT LEAVE ANY LONGER.
5. Wipe the grout off gently with a damp (not dripping) sponge or Chux (or any other non-textured cloth).
6. Allow the lamp to dry for a few hours.
7. Assemble your lamp.

– DO NOT LEAVE THE GROUT ON FOR MORE THAN 30 MINS.

– DO NOT LEAVE THE LAMP IN A HOT CAR AS IT WILL IMPEDE THE DRYING PROCESS & CAUSE THE TILES/BEADS TO SLIDE.

– DO NOT WASH THE GROUT DOWN THE SINK.
